Based in London, UK, we host many projects in the areas of fashion, physical activities, sports and lifestyle to support people with disabilities and, beyond that, highlight them into a more inclusive world.

EN | The Brazilian designer Lara Neidert (@laraneidert_), from the Fashion course at Udesc, brings her creation to the Future Fashion Show, on September 18.

The look presented is an adaptation developed under the mentorship of Unidaptive, a Bullock Inclusion project, focused on creating adaptive looks.

The collection Anatta starts from the idea that the “self” is fluid and constantly transforming. It expresses the movement between what we were, what we are, and what we can still become. Inspired by the impermanence of life, Anatta exists in the limbo between past and future, where fragments of ourselves disperse and are reborn.

Fashion as identity. Fashion as resistance. Fashion as connection.

Rebeca, an Indigenous designer from the Munduruku people of the Brazilian Amazon, brings together two lived realities: the village and the urban periphery. Born in Manaus, with family roots in Pará, her work reflects the intersection of ancestral heritage and contemporary experience.

Her collection bridges these worlds, presenting garments that honor Indigenous identity while re-signifying fashion through culture, memory, and belonging. It is a dialogue between territory and city, tradition and modernity.

Through her designs, fashion becomes a space to tell stories that have always existed.

During our casting at Kindred Hammersmith on April 13, we had the opportunity to hear from incredible talents shaping the future of fashion.

Angela Habbie shared her perspective on what it means to be part of Bullock Inclusion and the impact of inclusive platforms within the industry. For Angela, fashion is not only about creativity, but also about responsibility. As a geologist, she brings a unique lens, connecting sustainability and design, and highlighting the importance of evolving fashion into a space that is both expressive and mindful of its impact on the planet.

She also reflected on the importance of representation. Being part of an inclusive runway creates space for individuals who are often not seen, reinforcing that fashion can and should belong to everyone.

Moments like this remind us that the future of fashion is collaborative, inclusive, and driven by diverse perspectives.

The journey began in 2020, during the pandemic.

What started as writing blogs in Brazil for SB Shop evolved into something much bigger. Before Bullock Inclusion officially existed, a shared vision was already forming: building community through inclusion.

From that first meeting with Sam, there was clarity and purpose. An invitation to step into a leadership role in marketing became an opportunity to help shape inclusion across borders, languages, and cultures.

Today, the mission continues through modeling, communication, and strategy. Inclusion is carried into new spaces, even when language feels like a challenge. What matters most is the commitment to move forward and keep building.

The future of fashion must be more responsible, evidence based, and human centered.

Psychology has long been used in marketing, often to highlight insecurities and create perceived deficiencies. The direction needs to shift. Instead of exploiting vulnerabilities, psychology should support empowerment, well being, and ethical communication.

Branding must move beyond narrow and outdated representations. Tokenism is not inclusion. True representation reflects real diversity across age, body type, ability, ethnicity, and lived experience. When people see themselves reflected, they understand how fashion relates to them.

Customer insight also requires psychological understanding. To truly know why people engage with fashion, not just what they purchase, we must study human behavior. An evidence based, psychologically informed approach can create healthier relationships between brands and consumers.

The future of fashion needs humanity, ethics, and inclusion at its core.

Assistive technology should empower, not stigmatize.

The guiding principle is simple: create products that look good, feel elegant, and integrate seamlessly into daily life. Devices should not feel obtrusive or diminish personal style. They should complement it.

EN | In November 2025, students Emily (@itsfrancily), Vitória (@viih.mmachado), and Isadora (@isxmxtos) showcased adaptive garments for amputees at the Amputação em Movimento runway show.

This interinstitutional project connects the Fashion program at Ceart Udesc (@udesc.ceart) with extension projects from RAMP ,from Udesc Cefid’s Physical Therapy program, and JAC UFSC, from UFSC’s Journalism program.

Unidaptive, by Bullock Inclusion, provided mentorship to students in the Fashion and Sustainability course (fourth semester of the Fashion program at Ceart Udesc), through in-person sessions and online guidance, supporting the development of garments created for Ramp patients to wear on the runway.

Additionally, the students were guided by professors Neide Schulte, from Ecomoda (@ecomoda.udesc) , and Gabriela Kuhnen.

JAC UFSC (@jac.ufsc) was responsible for documenting the entire process, from the first meetings between students and patients to the runway show, resulting in a photographic exhibition and the documentary “Amputação em Movimento”.

The project takes place in partnership with RAMP (@ramp.udesc) , which focuses on the rehabilitation of amputees through in-person and online care, supporting each stage of the process, from hospital recovery to prosthesis use.

Gabriella Millen: “You are an adaptive fashion designer working tirelessly to create clothing for the disabled community. You are ensuring no person with disability, chronic illness, neurodiversity or undergoing treatment has to give up their style in the favor of comfort. Yeah. Can you please tell me more about your journey and how it all started intotum?”

Hanan Tantush: “Yeah, so in totem, we’re going to be actually celebrating our second birthday at the end of this month, which I’m very excited about, but it’s been under development for a lot longer than that. So, I actually started in totem because I saw how my granddad was really affected by the lack of clothing following cancer because he had to get a stoma bag. He has the ostomy, and he really struggles to find clothing that works with it. Because trousers are too tight or tops didn’t cover it and he really lost his confidence when he had that stomaback and I wasn’t happy with this. I wasn’t happy seeing that there wasn’t any options for him.

I already was making my own clothes because I didn’t like the way clothes felt and so that’s when I really kind of discovered that there was this word adaptive, and there was this, you know, idea of adaptive fashion, but that it wasn’t hitting the mark, that it was magical and that people were being left behind and really, that’s when I decided, okay, I need to do something about this. So the totem has actually been in development for a long time, almost five years. But two years of actually being a business and when I really kind of had that, momentum and that moment where I decided I was going to turn this into a business because I realized other people weren’t going to do it for me. They weren’t going to, they weren’t willing to listen to, to me or to the disabled community and hear that we wanted better clothing. So I decided to start it myself.”

From a psychological perspective, inclusion and diversity in fashion are directly connected to belonging.

Belonging is a fundamental human need. When people are excluded from fashion, representation, and visibility, it impacts self esteem and can affect confidence, opportunity, and even professional engagement. Fashion is not just a product. It is a tool for identity. It communicates who we are and how we want to be perceived.

When fashion becomes inclusive, individuals feel represented and part of the cultural conversation. At a societal level, inclusion reduces stigma and challenges narrow stereotypes of what is considered beautiful. Expanding representation reshapes standards and allows more people to engage fully and authentically.

Fashion has always held power.

The power to shape identity. To influence self esteem. To impact how we see ourselves and how we move through the world. But for too long, the industry has often been exclusive rather than inclusive, contributing to harmful standards and damaging body image.

With a background in psychology and a desire to create meaningful change, the journey began by bringing psychology into the fashion space at London College of Fashion. Because fashion is not superficial. It is our second skin. It is deeply connected to identity, belonging, and mental wellbeing.

There are still challenges within the industry. But there is also progress. And there is opportunity.

EN | The Brazilian designer Isabela Caprario (@isabelacaprario), from the Fashion course at Udesc, brings her creation to the Future Fashion Show, on September 18.

The look presented is an adaptation developed under the mentorship of Unidaptive, a Bullock Inclusion project, focused on creating adaptive looks.

The collection is inspired by the cosmic force that permeates body, mind, and environment, proposing a journey of flourishing, in which the individual connects with this invisible energy. The Chinese dragon emerges as the guardian of this path, a metaphor for rebirth. The original print expands this narrative: colors and elements that flow in harmony, expressing a continuous movement.

Makeup can be a form of healing.
